At Kaimana Ocean Safari, we offer four unforgettable ocean adventures along the breathtaking Kona coastline. Our Ocean Safari is a thrilling, safari-style tour where we search for marine life in both shallow reefs and deep pelagic waters, with the chance to encounter dolphins, whales, sea turtles, and more. The Kealakekua Bay Snorkeling Tour takes you to a world-renowned reef filled with vibrant marine life, perfect for those looking for a shorter yet spectacular snorkeling experience. Our seasonal Kohola (Whale) Watching Excursion provides the rare opportunity to observe majestic humpback whales as they migrate, birth, and play in Hawaii’s waters. For a more relaxing experience, the Kaimana Crafted Sunset Tour offers a perfect way to end the day, featuring a scenic snorkel followed by a stunning sunset on the water—ideal for celebrations or simply soaking in paradise. Whether you choose a shared tour or a private charter, we strive to create safe, immersive, and unforgettable ocean adventures.

Photography Packages

PHOTOGRAPHY PACKAGES

We offer two types of affordable Photography Packages for your experience!

GO PRO PACKAGE // $25.00 USD PER GROUP

Allow our safety divers to capture your day via the GoPro hero 12 for only $25 extra per group! All footage taken will be video footage on the newest GoPro on the market. To purchase, just select this option at checkout. You can also add this on while on your tour. Please note the footage will be sent via email within 24-48 hours of your tour.

PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY PACKAGE // $100.00 USD

We offer a professional underwater photo package to capture your adventure of 25-50 photos taken on a DSLR camera in an underwater housing to be post processed & edited by our highly qualified photographers! This is at an extremely affordable rate of $100 per group! You will also receive the GoPro footage of the tour included in that taken on our GoPro hero 12! Adding on this package allows you to stay in the moment and let the photographers worry about capturing your experience!

To purchase, just select this option at checkout. You can also add this on while on your tour. Please note that photos take up to a week to process & will be sent via email.

*Please note we always try our best to capture humans with wildlife, however, we cannot guarantee any photos as the skill level of the swimmer & movements from the animals may vary. it is important to stay with the group to be featured in your photo package. Mahalo!

Weather on the Hawaiian Islands can change very quickly — Please be prepared with sun protection and items to stay warm while onboard. We want all individuals to feel comfortable throughout the duration of the tour. Forgot breakfast or lunch? Check out the Sea Store at the gas station in the harbor near the boat for sandwiches, burritos, drinks, and snacks!

  • a towel

  • rash guard (optional)

  • secure hat

  • reusable water bottles

  • sunglasses

  • wind breaker or jacket (optional)

  • your own snorkel gear if you prefer, however, we will provide if you do not have any

  • cameras (optional to bring your own or inquire about our professional photography options)

REQUIREMENTS TO JOIN

You should know how to swim and be able to climb a vertical ladder, must be over 4 ft tall, must be under 250 lbs, MUST NOT have any neck or back injuries, MUST NOT have any pre-existing heart issues, MUST NOT have had any major surgery in the past 6 months, & know there is inherent risk when being on a boat & snorkeling.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Please arrive at least 15 minutes early and allow time for traffic when driving to the harbor. We have a very strict 24 hour cancellation policy and we do not issue any refunds for no shows, late arrivals, cancellations for any reason within 24 hours of your scheduled tour. If you need to reschedule your tour for any reason please speak to our staff to cancel or reschedule prior to 24 hours before your scheduled tour. We would be happy to move you! If we need to cancel the tour due to weather or any other reason on our end, you will receive a full refund. If we need to cancel half way through the tour due to weather you will be refunded half of your payment back. If you are late we will wait an additional 15 minutes to give you a chance to arrive before departing for the scheduled tour. Please be considerate to other guests who have arrived on time. Please review our 24 hour cancellation policy & if you are joining from a cruise ship you need to confirm with them 24 hours prior they will let you off of the ship. We do NOT refund for the ship changing their itinerary for ANY reason.
